An 'iPod tax' WHATT!!!!

New online ads from the Conservative Party are sounding off about what they claim is a Liberal-led plan to implement a tax on personal audio players and other devices.Canadians pay up to $75 more for "iPods, smart phones, personal video recorders, MP3 players and just about anything with a hard drive."

Some new online ads have been pooped up about the Conservative Party are saying what they claim is a liberal plan to implement a tax on personal audio players and other devices Canadian pay up $75 more for ipods, smart phone, personal video, recorders, MP3 players and just about anything with a hard drive in it.

I strongly disagree with this new tax on ipods and other new electronics. We already pay more than most other countries around the world for then. And now they want to put a tax of them, I think that there just taking it to far and should lower the price on them to equal of what the every once else are. And we should be packing the parent of all the children spend even more money on these elcectroic, I think its most unfair for them who are paying for most of these toys.

Larry King ends his run on CNN

Larry King, ended his record-setting career as CNN's prime-time, talk-show host Thursday night with a serenade from Tony Bennett, a greeting from President Obama and a "Larry King Day" proclamation from California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.

In his overall 53 years in broadcasting, King amassed 50,000 interviews, 6,120 shows in CNN's archives, 10 Cable ACE Awards, an Emmy, a Peabody and an entry in the Guinness World Records for having the longest-running show with the same host in the same time slot.

I think that is a pretty crazy thing, to last 25 years on the same show in the show business. Even to last 25 years with the same employers in any career is an achievement for that person. But to last on a late night talk show for 25 years and always have good rating each year is outstanding. He will be missed by many, but I highly doubt that, will be his last TV show of his career.

Quebec's Gaspedeclare a state of emergency

Quebec's Gaspe region is reeling from torrential downpour that has brought flooding and mudslides, and forced the provincial government to declare a state of emergency in the scenic area.About 250 millimetres of rain have fallen since Monday, leaving roads washed out and hundreds of homeowners battling flooded basements. In some areas, homes can only be reached by boat.
In the town of Gaspe itself, as many as 500 homes have been flooded and 125 of those have been evacuated, according to town spokesperson Brad McDonald.

No deaths or serious injuries have been reported as a result of the flooding and firefighters, police and emergency crews are working to help evacuate residents from their homes around the Gaspe Peninsula.

This gift for Mother Nature couldn’t have come at a worse time for these people, when was about 9 days away from Christmas and their houses are all complete flooded in. With all the presents and everything else that comes along with Christmas were in there houses. And to make matters worse is that during this time when the rain all came down the temperatures were at a high and now they’re starting to come back down to freezing  were all this icy when turn into icy and could possibly end up breaking there house if the water level remains that such high levels. When the icy freezes it would expand and ether could twist the structure of the house or even break it all together.

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is Free

He is free after being arrested in Britain on Dec. 7, while he fights extradition to Sweden to face sexual assault allegations. He was held up in London court and was fighting extradition to Sweden to face sexual assault allegations. was arrested in Britain on Dec. 7 on an arrest warrant issued by Sweden, where two women allege they were sexually assaulted.

Last month, WikiLeaks deeply angered U.S. officials by beginning to publish its trove of 250,000 secret U.S. diplomatic cables

"Well, it's great to smell the fresh air of London again," Assange said Thursday as he thanked his supporters, backers and legal team from the steps of the High Court.

He said he hoped to continue his work and continue "to protest my innocence in this matter and to reveal, as we get it … the evidence from these allegations."

I am just now hearing about this but I think that he should be arrested and sent to jail for leaking those 250,000 secret government documents while back. I think that the people do have the right to know what the government that they have elected are doing, but I also think that are something’s that should stay a secret to protect the public’s safety.  And so they all aren’t worry so much about the threats there country gets about terrorist and other people who don’t like what their country is doing around the world.

5 still in hospital after Vancouver gangland shooting

On December 13,2010 there was another gang related shooting in Vancouver’s Best Neighbor’s restaurant, where 10 people were injured after leaving a birthday party.
The ten people were injured early Saturday morning when someone opened fire with a high-powered assault rifle. There has been no arrest so far.  Among some of the guest were the Askari brothers, who police say are tired to major gang

Investigators say the very public

display of gun violence can be attributed to a longstanding gang feud bubbled over when longtime Askari rival Gurmit Singh Dhak was shot to death in a mall parking lot Oct. 17.

Attendees of the party are believed to have been targeted because they know something about the death of Dhak.

I don’t really know that much about all the gangs and the history between them, but nor do I really care.  I think that as long as they stop with these open gung fights and keep it more among them and in some more private places like such as in there part of town sort to speak and not in high populated parts of the city, that isn’t that bad. Because there are also only really killing each other so far and I haven’t really heard of any by standers getting hit or mixed up with, which is a very good thing. If they keep killing each other at this rate they will soon maybe there gang will keep growing smaller so the shooting would start to be more rare and unheard, then soon enough it would be out of our city.

Oilers debut new cheer team

he Edmonton Oilers unveiled their controversial new cheerleading team Tuesday hours before the 19-member squad debuted at Rexall Place for the NHL team's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The cheer team, known as Octane, is made up of women between the ages of 18 and 29. They will perform during games, interact with fans on the Rexall Place concourse and help with promotions.

The squad will add to the entertainment at Oilers games, as well as give the franchise more representatives to send to charity and community events, said Allan Watt, the Oilers vice-president of communications and broadcast.
Many NHL teams in the United States have cheer teams, but the Oilers squad is a first for a Canadian NHL franchise.

I think the NHL teams down in the states only have the cheer teams to help get more fans out to their games. But the Canadian franchises are to be known as some of the most passionate fans. I think if the Edmonton oilers had better advertise their two new franchises players Taylor Hall and Jordan eberle.  They would have to be relying on the new cheer team to help get some fans out to their games. But hey don’t get me wrong I not hating on the idea of the cheer team, just I don’t think its really necessary to have a cheer team if you’re club isn’t getting a enough fan to their games.

Winter has final arrived

Temperatures were warming up Thursday across the south, where freezing rain glazed roads with ice, but a sprawling winter storm remained in place across the upper Plains states.

The national weather services issued winter storm warnings and advisories for more than a dozen states. The brunt of the systems is poised to hit Kentucky, Virginia and West Virginia, but several inches of snow are forecast  for portions of Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee and North Carolina. As well as Minnesota and the Dakotas. Winter weather people stretched into Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Up to a quarter-inch of ice could accumulate on roadways, the weather service warned, in addition to previously fallen snow. There to six inches of snow were forecast for eastern Virginia.

The harsh weather stranded about 300 people in Canada Tuesday after what a local official called the most brutal storm to hit the Ontario region in more than two decades.

Winter is now HERE!! If you have not gotten you’re car ready for winter you better be getting that car into the shop and pit some now tires and get some new window wiper fluid. On the way home from the shop, stop by the Canadian tire and but some salt and some snow shovels. This winter I hear that is will be one of the worst winter we have had in 55 years. So don’t wait until its snows and you’re house to get some basic necessities for the winter

Nugent- Hopkins is from Burnaby, BC. He is threatening to become the next big thing to come from the Lower Mainland and he intends to do it with all three of his names.  He hopes to be able to keep both names on his jersey.

Nugent- Hopkins is only 17 years old and is except to be draft really high in the 2011 NHL entry draft. In 2008, he was selected first overall in the Western Hockey League bantam draft. Last spring he was named WHL rookie of the year. Last summer, he scored the gold-medal game-winner gaol for Canada at the world under-18 Ivan Hlinka tournament in the Czech Republic.

I think that is just crazy that a guy that I played hockey against just a couple years ago in bantam. He still should be in high school and is except to be in the top three drafts picks for this coming up NHL entry draft. He could be making millions of dollars in the next couple years if he can make it onto a NHL team. I don’t think he will be NHL ready for next season but he will play in the NHL soon.

That make me think that since I’m the same age as him, and he has been able to accomplish call this in such a short time and I have done basically nothing compared to him.

Future of TV's

Fall back on your sofa in five years, snap your fingers to turn on a TV that's thin as paper and stretches across a wall, then ask it to switch to your favorite sports channel so you can watch the day's hockey game in 3-D -- no glasses required.

They think that the kids now days aren't getting a enough exercise and are to lazy.  Well when you out with new TV's like this that make it so u can just lay on your coach and not move a muscle and be able to change the channel and volume. They think that the kids of today are just getting lazier.  I think that if they didn't come out with they technology that they have been coming out with that we wouldn't be so lazy and fat.

Winnipeg police arrest former coach Graham James

Graham James, former junior hockey coach. He surrendered himself into police custody at Toronto’s Pearson International airport Wednesday Oct. 27, 2010. Then son after he was flown to Winnipeg where he faces nine charges of sexual assault. Investigators had issued a warrant for his arrest more than two weeks before he turned him self in. James is a convicted sex offered who was quilty given a pardon in 2007. That sparked a public outcry and quick response from the Federal Government, which has proposed changes to how pardons are granted. This case took a big step forward when former NHL Theoren Fleury, accused James of sexual assault in his autobiography.

I don’t think that people like this should ever be allowed to coach hockey or any other kids sports were they get time with the kids behind closed doors like in a dressing room, or any other type of setting were yours kids are getting changed for their upcoming game or event. The people who are hiring these coaches should do a much better job in a background check and see if they have any know chargers of sexual assault or criminal charges or any abusive chargers.
